WILD HEART: Women’s Wilderness Therapy Woodland Retreat

£240.00

- +

A place to find your tribe and experience the therapeutic and healing power of nature. A space to learn about yourself, to learn new skills and face new challenges, to build confidence and connections. A time to slow down, to reconnect, rewild and restore on a weekend off-grid in a magical Lake District woodland beside a lake.

Let’s talk honestly. So many women are carrying the load; raising a family, working to build a career or doing multiple jobs to pay the bills, caring for parents or dependants, always on the go, always on the look out for everyone else, struggling to find time to look out for yourself or simply to have space to breathe or work out what it is you want and need to live a life that is right for you. It can be exhausting.

Is this for you? Are you for it?

If you feel resonance with any of the following, then this Wilderness Therapy Woodland Retreat is calling to you:

  • I’d like to meet new people and find a sense of belonging
  • I need some time out from my everyday life
  • I’m feeling stressed and anxious
  • I’m feeling lonely
  • I want to challenge myself
  • I want to feel happier
  • I’d like to feel more confident
  • I’d like to go outside my comfort zone and try something new
  • I want to find a better balance in my life
  • I want to spend more time in nature
  • I want to rediscover my wild heart

What can you expect on the Wild Heart Wilderness Therapy Retreat?

We’ll be starting on Friday evening with fun and friendly activities around the campfire, designed to begin making connections and building our tribe.

Then throughout the weekend you’ll be taken on a personal therapeutic journey of discovery, delving deeply into yourself through nature’s metaphors, exploring gentle ways to ground and de-stress, learning new skills and building confidence through bushcraft, as you learn ways to light fire and master authentic techniques for delicious campfire cookery.

You’ll explore creative wellbeing through nature art and wood whittling, making beautiful and meaningful mementoes and you’ll be invited to step outside of your comfort zone with cold water therapy and crossing the ‘rope bridge’ to your newly rewilded future.

You can spend time rocking in a hammock amongst the trees, gazing in wonder and awe at the spellbinding majesty of the night sky, or simply soaking up the beauty and tranquillity of the woodlands all around you.

Location and accommodation:

Squirreled away on the eastern edge of Coniston Water in the Lake District, this secret site is surrounded by wonderful woodland and fells, with the beautiful lake easily reached at the bottom of the woodland track.  Accommodation is real back-to-nature camping (own equipment). An opportunity to escape modern conveniences, to get close to nature and back in touch with your wild heart. Compost loos are as close to civilisation as it gets. There’s a water tap (not drinkable) and no showers, but that’s all part of the charm. It offers a uniquely real get-away-from it all experience.
