Helping you discover new places and take advantage of all the physical and mental health and well-being benefits that come from spending time amongst nature, in beautiful landscapes.
Whether you are a complete beginner, or are looking to refresh your skills, we’ll give you the insight and confidence to get outdoors on your own or with friends.
You’ll learn the skills to enable you to safely and confidently explore new places and plan your own routes.
Skills we’ll cover include: an introduction to maps, understanding map symbols and contours, orientating the map and learning to use a compass, using timing and pacing, understanding features, the 5 Ds of navigation, taking a bearing, navigation strategies.

Cost:
£60 per person. Small group ratios of up 1:4 people.
Map Reading & Navigation Skills days usually run from 10 a.m. to 3.30 p.m.
Adults and families with children 12+ welcome.
Dates and locations can be flexible to suit you and take place across the beautiful Lake District and Yorkshire Dales National Parks.
