Starting on Friday evening, we’ll have a whale of a weekend! You can join in with walks and dips, or you can just do your own ‘thang’! This is a community event of like-minded people coming together, not a guided weekend. The more of us that go, the cheaper it will be! We’re staying at the brilliant Outdoors Alternative – the perfect place for adventure and unwinding. Set in an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty, it provides very high quality bunkhouse accommodation in a lovely, renovated farm building. with a fully equipped self-catered kitchen, spacious dining room and comfortable conservatory. The bright and comfortable bedrooms have a mix of bunks and single beds, sleeping up to 4 people per room, each with an en-suite shower room. All bedding is provided. Main (evening) meals will be communal and we will share those costs. Other meals, just bring what you like. All you need to pay for at this stage is to book the accommodation. We are asking £100 per person for two nights. This is a community event and the more of us that go, the cheaper it will be. If the cost does go down, we will issue cash refund during the weekend. Women's Fire Circle
See more details Women's Fire Circle October 17, 2024 7:00 pm - 9:00 pm
National Trust - Footprint, Footprint Building, Patterdale Rd, Windermere LA23 1NH, UK For women, the ancient practice of gatheringtogether in circle, was a chance to reconnect, reflect and share our life stories andwisdoms without expectation or judgement or pressure. It is a deep-rooted practice that we can (should!) reclaim andrediscover. A sacred space removed from the demands of the outside world. Gathering round fire for warmth, comfort and conversation is aprimal and powerful part of our human experience. Fire has always made us feelbetter. The Women’s Fire Circle melds together the magic of gatheringround the warmth of the flames with the supportive power of our collective, feminine spirit. It’s a place to take a couple of hours away from the busynessand pressures of the everyday and use it whatever way you please. A place to share, to talk, to listen, to laugh (or cry). A place to be silent. A place to immerse yourself in the healing power of nature. A place to simply gaze at the flames if that is what you need. A place to drink tea and eat cake. A space to come together with other women just as you are. Monthly Women’s Fire Circles take place amidst the gorgeouswoodland of the National Trust Footprint near Windermere, generally around the time of the Full Moon, Equinoxes and Solstices. Tapping into the influence of the seasons, circles may includemeditation, creating, a little breathwork and gentle movement or simply alovely get together and natter around the fire. In the warmer months, I’ll becombining Women’s Fire Circles with an optional wild swim first. There will always be homemade cake and tea! x BOOK YOUR SPACE • |
