SPRING BLUEBELLS MINDFULNESS & MEDITATION WALK
at nature’s pace
On this mindfulness and meditation walk amongst the bluebells, we will take our time, engaging all of our senses, connecting deeply with nature; observing it’s beauty, moving slowly through the landscape, really taking time, to notice, to find peace, clarity and relief from stress.
The natural world is our greatest teacher, with wonderful restorative, healing powers.
Encouraging our sympathetic nervous system (fight of flight) – which is responsible for stress and tension – to switch off and turning on our parasympathetic nervous system (rest and digest) to leave us feeling calmer, restored and reconnected to nature and ourselves.
We’re blessed in the northern hemisphere to have four wonderfully distinct cyclical seasons. Each has it’s own beauty, wonder and energy.
Using classic nature connectedness activities for health and well-being engaging all the senses we’ll wonder at and experience spring, the time of beautiful rebirth: the first green shoots, the captivating birdsong, the sight and scent of bluebells.
This springtime walk will include elements of Forest Bathing, nature art, mindfulness and fun and fascinating activities that really deepen your connection to the natural world, reigniting your sense of awe and wonder. And there really couldn’t be a better location to immerse yourself in the health-giving benefits of being amongst nature.
Wild Haweswater encompasses 30 square kilometres of mossy woodland, rushing streams, moorland, heath and bog, and farmland set within a mountainous landscape on the eastern edge of the Lake District National Park.
Nestled in the folds of Haweswater’s dramatic landscape lie pockets of wildness; alpine plants cling to cliffs and ledges, whilst woodland birds, red squirrels and badgers teem in the woodlands
Wild Haweswater is a partnership between the RSPB and United Utilities, who are working together to manage the site for people, water and wildlife. With farming running alongside habitat restoration and thriving upland wildlife, the reserve demonstrates how people and nature can thrive together.
A percentage of your booking fee goes back to into supporting the fabulous work of RSPB Haweswater.
