See more details Women's Fire Circle April 10, 2025 7:00 pm - 9:00 pm
National Trust - Footprint, Footprint Building, Patterdale Rd, Windermere LA23 1NH, UK For women, the ancient practice of gatheringtogether in circle, was a chance to reconnect, reflect and share our life stories andwisdoms without expectation or judgement or pressure. It is a deep-rooted practice that we can (should!) reclaim andrediscover. A sacred space removed from the demands of the outside world. Gathering round fire for warmth, comfort and conversation is aprimal and powerful part of our human experience. Fire has always made us feelbetter. The Women’s Fire Circle melds together the magic of gatheringround the warmth of the flames with the supportive power of our collective, feminine spirit. It’s a place to take a couple of hours away from the busynessand pressures of the everyday and use it whatever way you please. A place to share, to talk, to listen, to laugh (or cry). A place to be silent. A place to immerse yourself in the healing power of nature. A place to simply gaze at the flames if that is what you need. A place to drink tea and eat cake. A space to come together with other women just as you are. Monthly Women’s Fire Circles take place amidst the gorgeouswoodland of the National Trust Footprint near Windermere, generally around the time of the Full Moon, Equinoxes and Solstices. Tapping into the influence of the seasons, circles may includemeditation, creating, a little breathwork and gentle movement or simply alovely get together and natter around the fire. In the warmer months, I’ll becombining Women’s Fire Circles with an optional wild swim first. There will always be homemade cake and tea! x BOOK YOUR SPACE • |

Full Pink Moon Forest Bathing

Naddle Forest, Haweswater Discover how the magic of woods can bring you health and happiness, deep peace and restoration, on a Forest Bathing adventure amongst the wonderful woodlands of the Lake District National Park. The practice of Forest Bathing (Shinrin Yoku - Japanese for "forest" and "bath") using all of our senses: sight, touch, sound, smell, taste, emerged in Japan in the 1980s. As humans we are instinctively drawn to woodlands: the tranquil, quiet atmosphere, infused with sweet birdsong; the beautiful, green scenery and fresh, woodland air; the sense of calm, peace and restoration that envelops you. Until the early 2000s there was little scientific research to evaluate the therapeutic benefits to our physical and mental health of spending time amongst the trees. But the results of academic research have proved to be hugely impressive. As well as practising the art of Forest Bathing on this 3 hour session, immersed, transported and relaxed in the magical woodlands, we'll give you the tools to take Forest Bathing nature connectedness back into your daily lives and we'll discuss the incredible impacts for your health: increased immunity, lowered blood pressure, reduced stress and anxiety, improved moods, better sleep and more happiness. We'll end the adventure enjoying a forest brew together (our take on the traditional tea ceremony!) BOOK HERE.
